Gingerbread Smoothie

The taste of Christmas in a deliciously thick and creamy smoothie! The perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit.

  • Frozen bananas help create a thick and creamy texture in smoothies.
  • Freezing bananas when they’re ripe or close to turning brown not only rescues them from ending up in landfills but also ensures you conveniently have these smoothie MVPs on hand.
  • Swap tahini for almond butter.
Ingredients
  • 2 large frozen bananas
  • 1 cup ice 
  • ¼ cup water or milk of choice
  • 2 serves protein powder (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp tahini
  • 2 dates
  • 1 tsp miso paste
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp cinnamon


Toppings

  • Cacao nibs
  • Hemp seeds
Method
  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Top with a sprinkle of cacao nibs and hemp seeds or some of your favourite granola.
