In The Kitchen With Hannah Barrett.

A series where we take a closer look into how the everyday cook fills up their cup, fridge, pantry, and bellies.

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Hannah Barrett, I am 28 years old. I work as a director of Me Today (an NZ based natural skincare and supplements company) as well as juggling mum life!

What’s your food philosophy?

Food is to be enjoyed – eat what you feel like eating!!

Tips for feeding little ones?

Expose them to a variety of foods. We lived in Japan for six months when my daughter first started eating solids so she was exposed to anchovies, seaweed, sashimi etc. I also believe that whilst they are young try not to force them to eat certain foods as this can result in associations between foods and unpleasant experiences.

What is your favourite thing about being a mum?

Where to start!! There are so many special things but one of my absolute favourites would be the cuddles and being told “I love you”.

What’s always in your pantry or fridge?

Whittakers Berry Forest

What fills up your cup?

Quality time with friends and families

Death row meal  – starter, main and dessert.

Starter; Fries(steak fries not skinny) Mains; Lamb rack with roasted vegetables Dessert; Some sort of gooey chocolate concoction.

Most hated food?

Sun-dried tomatoes
