Revive Your Leftovers and Join the Mission to Reduce Food Waste

When we’re left with a full portion of a meal, it's a no-brainer to enjoy it for lunch the next day, but what about those smaller leftovers that often go to waste? It's time to shift our mindsets and see the potential in all leftovers, no matter their size.

When you’re focused on reducing food waste, it can become a fun challenge to creatively repurpose these remaining ingredients and turn them into something yummy!

Here are a few ideas:

The ‘bits and bobs’

A small amount of meats, veggies and grains can all be bulked out and revamped into a delicious salad, simply add some leafy greens, fresh herbs, crunchy nuts, some creamy feta and a dressing.

Cooked vegetables

Don’t underestimate the power of cooked vegetables. Whether they were roasted or sautéed, they can find new life as a star ingredient in a frittata perfect for a healthy lunch or breakfast.

Here is our basic frittata recipe.

Cooked rice

Day-old rice truly shines when transformed into fried rice! Don’t limit yourself to Asian-inspired versions; you can make Middle Eastern-inspired fried rice too.

Stale bread

Even stale bread can have a second chance to shine. Breadcrumbs can be used to crumb meat, fish and even tofu, or you can toast them in butter and garlic, then sprinkle over pasta, salads or seasonal veggies for a delicious side.
